So you want to be a “pro”?

For a model builder, getting paid to build and paint model kits for others seems like the dream come-true. But it has a possible down side. The moment you take on a commission, the clock starts ticking.

Your duty is to prepare and assemble the kit to match the hoped for vision in the client’s mind. And he or she is anxious to receive the work of art as soon as possible.

But even after the cleaning and priming and painting, there are two moments of truth:

The shipping process, will the model survive the journey intact?

The box containing the finished model arrives intact to the client. Did you succeed in giving the client what they wanted?

Even the most seasoned and skilled artist must face this ultimate challenge once it is shipped off. It is not always a success.
